The Philippines is the number 1 country in the world in terms of daily internet usage.
The latest report comes from Hootsuite's and We Are Social's 2019 report, and Filipinos spend a total average of 10 hours and 2 minutes on the internet daily through any device.
Trailing behind the Philippines is Brazil with a daily usage of 9 hours and 29 minutes. Thailand comes next 9 hours and 11 minutes. Thailand last year was the top internet user of 2018.
The increase of internet usage worldwide was quite modest from an average of 6 hours to 6 hours and 42 minutes this year.
Japan meanwhile spends the least amount of time on the internet at an average of 3 hours and 45 minutes.
The report also mentions that the Philippines holds the #1 title of daily social media duration of usage at an average of 4 hours and 12 minutes. The average time spent worldwide is only 2 hours and 16 minutes.
Brazil continues to be next in line with the Philippines with an average usage of 3 hours and 34 minutes, followed by Colombia with 3 hours and 31 minutes average in social media time.
Japan spends the least time on social media at 36 minutes.
